Less, but a little better

Making space for the things you return to.

What earns its place

Look at a shelf, a desk, or a list of things you plan to do. Which parts do you use and enjoy? Which stay because you have stopped noticing them? Making space can begin with paying attention rather than getting rid of everything.

A small experiment

Clear one corner of your desk. Keep a notebook and the tool you use most often. Work there for a few days before changing anything else. A small experiment gives you information that a dramatic reset cannot.

Room to return

The aim is not an empty room or a perfect system. It is an environment that makes it easier to do the things you value. Keep what serves that purpose, and let the rest become a question you can answer slowly.
